With numerous prestigious accolades to his name, Glenn is a renowned expert in environment, climate change, and disaster risks in Asia. He's a trailblazer who employs cutting-edge scientific models, simulations, and data analysis to tackle the challenges posed by climate change and extreme events.

 

As the first and only Filipino recipient of the coveted United Nations (UN) Sasakawa Laureate for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Glenn's contributions have been globally recognised. He's also honoured with the Asia Leader Award for Sustainability Leadership and The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) Laureate in Environment Conservation and Science Diplomacy, making him the youngest ever recipient.

 

Glenn's remarkable journey is marked by exceptional achievements. He has been awarded the Outstanding Young Scientist of the Philippines for Environmental Management by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). His expertise has attracted grants and recognition from prestigious institutions such as The Royal Society, The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), to name a few.

 

With a wealth of experience in science diplomacy, Glenn's contributions extend far beyond academia. He actively advises national government agencies in the Philippines on climate change and disaster risks. As a trusted consultant, he lends his expertise to private sector initiatives, focusing on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and sustainability projects.

 

Glenn's influence goes beyond borders. He has been recognised by the European Union (EU)-Asia Expert Panel for Climate Diplomacy and Environmental Security, and he chairs the ASEAN Science Diplomats and the US-ASEAN Science and Technology Fellows. His extensive collaborations and leadership roles demonstrate his commitment to global climate action.
